You say you want me to put the shoe on the other foot? Grand: I want your rights; you take on mine. The things you choose to focus on--cakes? bacon?--are pretty low-stakes dodges to get out of addressing the big issues: that a doctor can refuse to treat me or that I can be denied housing for simple existence. If you are straight and/or cisgender, and thus cannot be denied health care or housing (or really anything) as a result, then you operate from a privilege you did not earn and that does not merit you getting to have more freedoms than I do. It must be nice to have full civil rights but I wouldn't know. So yes, let's trade shoes for a bit, and thanks for offering.
